Diminishing the pain-body in practice: My attachment to the pain-body

This week’s practice to diminish the pain-body is to observe your attachment to the pain-body. In other words, observe your resistance to let go. If there wasn’t any resistance to release, you simply would not be dragging it around. As soon as you recognize the resistance, the walls come down and you are able to let it go.

God knows I hung onto my pain-body. I swear, it was like I had to pry each individual limb, finger and toe from it. I had allowed myself to get caught up in the belief that I didn’t have a right to exist. Because I didn’t have a right to exist, not only did I have to go above and beyond and put others first, I also felt I had to beg, grovel and plead for anything good in my life. You may ask, “Why the hell were you attached to this?!?” My response is this, it helped me to assimilate into a society full of power dynamics, social agreements, limiting beliefs, and unhealthy perspectives on connection and sexuality. It gave me a linear path to follow that would allow me to fit in and become “successful.”

By strictly adhering to this linear path I traded in my personal power for predictability. It never occurred to me that there was another way– one with purpose, intention and light.  It didn’t occur to me that I could foster the gifts I had as a child instead of picking a path of resistance and trying to force a future that really wasn’t mine. Instead I was head down, focused on following instructions, feared authority figures and begged for external validation and acceptance. I traded my true self for the 21st century definition of “success.”

Once I understood that the benefit I got from the pain-body was to help me assimilate into society and a path that really wasn’t the best for me, the negative feelings dissipated and were replaced with confidence and conviction.

How are you benefiting from your pain-body? Why are you resistant to letting it go?

Sound healing with tuning forks is an incredible tool to help dissipate the pain-body or the heavy energy you are carrying in your biofield. The vibrations of the tuning fork act as sonar and dissolve, transmute or transform energy chism, gaps, and incoherence in your field. By bringing coherence into your field you can live the full authentic life you were meant to live.
